We are people. We are all different. Because of this, each one of us has its own different function in this society. We all belong to different groups. Let it be family, school, Church, friends or community. Let us focus on friendship circles otherwise known as cliques. These groups may be considered our second family, depending on the person. These groups support many of your endeavors and life struggles. These groups make you a better person. Friends, in a way, share ideas, talents, stories, emotions and many more to bond with each other. And as time passes, it will be pretty obvious to see that friends now have the same mannerisms, expressions, style, likes and dislikes. But despite the commonness of these, we still have different functions in the group.
What makes a clique, a very colorful one is the incredible mix of people and personalities. All of these personalities have a connection with one another and they are all prone to different “social diseases”. First off, we have the Leader of the group. The person is the one who usually takes care of the planning and group gatherings. But, this person is prone to “authoritarianism”, the disease of using your power always. Another victim of the said disease is the Obsessive-Compulsive person. The person is usually in-charge of the maintenance of the group and just by the name itself, that’s already the disease. Another person who needs maintenance is the Brains of the group. This time, academically. The person is the walking university of the group. Knowing the latest data, solving the math quizzes easily and willing to “help” in the assignments are his specialties. Sub-categories of this type include the Sci-Fi and Anime Freaks, Debaters and Bookworms. But too much of the brain usage will lead to a “hyperactivity disorder” inside class but not outside. The complete opposite of this, who also inherits the “hyperactivity disorder” outside of the classroom but not inside are the Jocks or the Sports-minded people. They are not really known for their academic intelligence yet when they excel usually in PE class. Their easy loss of temper is also their main illness. Something they also would share with the Clowns and Jokers. They would find a way to always make the people smile, grin and laugh. Rebels fall under this category. Nothing beats their pick-up lines, gags and infectious laughter. But knowing their hot- headedness, they become prone to the infectious disease of “pride”. This pride is very present in the Preppy and Sassy Chicks and Hunks. They would do anything to get their attention, but the attention deficiency is the main symptom of the ailment called FD, which stands for Flirty and Dirty. Theater Actors and Competitive Singers fall under this category. They would play the game rough to get their way. They would always think they are “cool” And the people that would fall victim to the FD syndrome would be the Silent, Nice Guys and Gals. Being too silent, they become the butt of all the jokes, the laughing stock of the class or sometimes, neglected. Some known sub-categories of this personality are the Artists and Daydreamers. Thus, they would become the “followers” of the “leader”. See the connection?
So look. We have the boss, the busy one, the brains, the brawns, the buffoons, the beauties and the butts of all the jokes. Can you imagine how they are in ONE clique only and how they get along? We don’t either.
